Spurs release '24-25 schedule, featuring trip to Paris

The Spurs will open the 2024-25 regular season on Oct. 24 with a trip to Dallas for a battle between superstars Victor Wembanyama and Luka Doncic, which will be aired on TNT.

They’ll then return to San Antonio for a set of home games against the Houston Rockets on Oct. 26 and 28, which will mark newly acquired point guard Chris Paul’s first games in Spurs garb at the Frost Bank Center. The Spurs will close out October with road games against defending Western Conference champion Oklahoma City on Oct. 30 and Utah on Halloween.

Other marquee games on this year’s regular-season schedule include a Christmas Day matinee at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks, a pair of games against the Indiana Pacers at France’s Accor Arena on Jan. 23 and 25 for the 2024 Paris Games, and a back-to-back set at Austin’s Moody Center against former Longhorn Kevin Durant’s Phoenix Suns (Feb. 20) and the Detroit Pistons (Feb. 21).

Notably, those games in Texas’ capitol will break up the Spurs’ annual Rodeo Road Trip, which begins Feb. 3 at Memphis. After hosting the Miami Heat on Feb. 1, the Spurs will not play at the Frost Bank Center again until hosting the Thunder on March 2. That stretch, which also includes the NBA All-Star Break, will see the Spurs play 12 straight games away from home.

As the Express-News reported Tuesday, the Spurs will also open up NBA Cup group play at home against the defending in-season tournament champion Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 15. San Antonio will also face the Thunder (Oct. 19), Jazz (Oct. 26) and Suns (Dec. 3) in group play. The knockout rounds, which will feature all six group winners plus two “wild card” teams, are scheduled for Dec. 10 through 17.

The Spurs will close out the regular season at home on April 13 against Toronto
